Terim was a guest on the "Empati" program. The experienced coach made statements on many current topics. Speaking about Fenerbahçe's new signing Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Terim noted the following:

"Kerem is very talented. We were the ones who brought him in. I say he is very talented once again. Certainly, recent events may have made everyone a bit tense, but when you look at the situation from a technical perspective... If we manage the circulation internally, we won't go to the wrong foreigner. There isn't a player I haven't given to Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, or Trabzonspor. The last one I gave was Serdar Aziz. If I am not planning to play someone, or if I am not satisfied, why should I block their path? Can there be a philosophy of 'Let him go there and play well...'? You would be wasting the club's money and not playing the man! He will look elsewhere to address his shortcomings. The 'Big Four' should ensure this circulation among themselves.

Kerem's transfer to Benfica is very correct. It is one of the biggest in the world. One of his actions made a group happy, another action saddened them. Young people will make mistakes. It took on an extraordinary state. One must respect choices here. Did Kerem contribute to Galatasaray? Yes, he did. Did he contribute to championships? Yes, he did. Did he earn money for the club? Yes, he did. I know how much he was bought for. This should not be turned into a blood feud. Kerem called me. Young people will make mistakes, and we will forgive them. We will show them the right path. Otherwise, there will be chaos. We are all a bit tense already. We must leave this grudge and enmity behind."

Noting that Galatasaray's current manager Okan Buruk is successful, Terim said, "I find him successful. I think he will be even better. Experiences can lead him to be even better. When I arrived, Okan was trying to recover at Galatasaray after a broken leg. We won him over. When I went to Italy, he was continuing at Galatasaray."

Evaluating Fenerbahçe's inability to win the championship for many years, Fatih Terim stated, "Sometimes it happens. It has happened to all of us. There are those in Europe who haven't won for 30-40 years. This prevents you from thinking healthily."
