Fenerbahçe Sports Club announced the sad news in a post on social media with the following words:
"Our Painful Loss: We have lost our Board Member Mehmet Salih Dereli
We have lost our Board Member and a valuable businessman, one of the prominent figures of our community, Mehmet Salih Dereli.
Serving on our Board of Directors since 2021, Mehmet Salih Dereli, member number 5213 of our club, was also one of the founders of the 1907 Fenerbahçe Association and Fenerium.
Mehmet Salih Dereli, who provided valuable services to our club, actively continued his board membership even during the period when he was experiencing health problems.
We wish God's mercy upon Mehmet Salih Dereli; we extend our condolences to his grieving family, loved ones, and our community. Funeral ceremony details will be shared when they are finalized."
