Fenerbahçe has begun official negotiations for the transfer of Partizan's Brazilian striker Matheus Saldanha.
Taking precautions against the possibility of Michy Batshuayi leaving the team, the yellow-navy club has started official negotiations with the player's club for Saldanha, according to a report by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu of SportsDigitale. It was stated that Fenerbahçe has issued an official 'authorization document' to an agent from Turkey to negotiate with the player's side.

Matheus Saldanha competed for JEF United Chiba, a team in the Japanese 2nd League, last season and transferred to Partizan at the beginning of the season for a transfer fee of 1.3 million Euros. The 24-year-old Brazilian forward has appeared in 24 official matches for Partizan to date, scoring 15 goals and providing 5 assists.
