Fenerbahçe Beko advances to the Final Four

The Fenerbahçe Men's Basketball Team defeated French side Paris Basketball 98-88 in the third game of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague play-off series, bringing the series to 3-0. The Yellow-Navies have achieved the success of reaching the Final Four for the 7th time.

In the third game of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague play-off series, Fenerbahçe Beko faced French representative Paris Basketball away from home. Having played the first two games of the series at home, the Yellow-Navies won the first match 83-78 and the second match 89-72. Starting the first match in Paris with a lineup of Nigel Hayes-Davis, Devon Hall, Marko Guduric, Bonzie Colson, and Khem Birch, Fenerbahçe finished the first quarter leading 20-18. The Canary, who entered the locker room with a score of 46-40, led 80-76 with 1 minute remaining in the match. With the host's defensive effectiveness, the score was equalized with 15 seconds left. As Fenerbahçe could not score on the final possession, the match went to overtime with a score of 80-80.

In overtime, the Yellow-Navies went on an 8-0 run with consecutive points from Tarık Biberovic. While there were mutual baskets from Nadir Hifi and Nigel Hayes in the remaining time, Jasikevicius's students won 98-88 and wrote their name into the Final Four. For the Paris team, Timothy Shorts was the top scorer with 29 points, but he fouled out during the overtime minutes. For Fenerbahçe, the top scorer was Tarık Biberovic with 21 points.

The Lithuanian coach, who has many achievements in his playing career, will compete in the Final Four for the 6th time in his coaching career. Having experienced a second, third, and fourth place finish once each with Barcelona, Jasikevicius also finished the tournament in third place once with the Zalgiris Kaunas team.
