Fenerbahçe Beko announces the signing of Onuralp

Fenerbahçe Beko, one of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague teams, has reached an agreement with Onuralp Bitim, who most recently played for the NBA's Chicago Bulls. The star player has been loaned to Bayern Munich until the end of the season.

Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and Basketball Super League team Fenerbahçe Beko has announced that it has signed Onuralp Bitim, who most recently played for the NBA's Chicago Bulls.

LOANED TO BAYERN MUNICH UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON

Having signed Onuralp, Fenerbahçe Beko will loan the star basketball player to the German team Bayern Munich until the end of the season.

Fenerbahçe's statement is as follows:

"Our Fenerbahçe Beko Men's Basketball Team has reached an agreement with Onuralp Bitim (1999, 1.98, G-F), who is considered one of the most important talents in our country's basketball and most recently played for the NBA team Chicago Bulls, until the end of the 2027-28 season. As part of the agreement, our player will spend the 2024-25 season at the German representative Bayern Munich, which competes in the EuroLeague.

WHO IS ONURALP BİTİM?

Born on March 31, 1999, in Kadıköy, Onuralp Bitim played for Pertevniyal, the pilot team of Anadolu Efes, in the early stages of his career and headed to America for his education in 2015. After spending a year in America, Onuralp joined the Anadolu Efes squad in 2016 and was promoted to the A Team for the first time in the 2017-2018 season. The successful player continued to play for Efes until 2019, and between 2019 and 2021, he wore the jersey of the İzmir representative Pınar Karşıyaka.

Onuralp experienced his career breakthrough with Bursaspor. Transferring to this team in the summer of 2021, Onuralp Bitim spent the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons in Bursa. Becoming one of his team's most important assets from his first season, Onuralp Bitim averaged 12.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in the 2021-22 season, and 18.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in the 2022-23 season during his two-season EuroCup experience. Our successful player achieved the success of playing in the final with Bursaspor in the 2021-22 EuroCup season. With his performance, which he took even further in the 2022-23 season, Onuralp was selected for the All-EuroCup Second Team. While Bitim also displayed a successful performance in the Basketball Super League with Bursaspor, he averaged 14.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in the 2021-22 season, and 18.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in the 2022-23 season.

The successful performance he showed in Bursa opened the doors of the NBA to Onuralp Bitim. Our athlete signed a contract with the Chicago Bulls in the summer of 2023. Spending the 2023-24 season with the Chicago Bulls and their G League team, the Windy City Bulls, Onuralp averaged 3.5 points and 1.4 rebounds in the 23 games he played in the NBA, while reaching averages of 14.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 22 games in the G League.

Onuralp Bitim, who has also served the country's basketball for a long time at the youth and A National Team levels, won a bronze medal at the 2015 FIBA U16 European Championship and a silver medal at the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship. Onuralp was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2015 U16 Championship, averaging 22.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.
