Fenerbahçe Beko defeated by Panathinaikos at home

Fenerbahçe Beko faced Greece's Panathinaikos in the 5th week of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. The yellow-navy team lost the match played at the Fenerbahçe Ülker Sports and Event Hall 81-76.

Jasikevicius's team suffered their 2nd defeat in the EuroLeague. Ergin Ataman's Panathinaikos, meanwhile, returned to winning ways after 2 matches.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATED

Republic Day was celebrated during the Fenerbahçe Beko-Panathinaikos match.

Before the game at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall, the club placed Turkish flags on every seat. The yellow-navy fans celebrated the 101st anniversary of the Republic by waving the flags left on their seats. The stands also accompanied the '10th Year March' played by the band brought into the arena with their flags.

REACTION TO ERGIN ATAMAN

The yellow-navy fans reacted to Panathinaikos Head Coach Ergin Ataman. After the match in which Galatasaray defeated Fenerbahçe 3-1 in the Trendyol Super League, Ataman had made a 3-1 gesture with his hand to the yellow-red stands during a friendly match he coached with Panathinaikos.

Although Ataman issued an apology to the Fenerbahçe community on his social media account following the backlash, the yellow-navy management announced that they had decided not to send players to the A National Men's Basketball Team as long as Ataman remains at its helm.
