STANDS REMAINED EMPTY

Fenerbahçe Beko faced Greece's Olympiacos in the third-place match of the Basketball Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four, while the stands remained empty.

It was noted that there was no crowd density around the arena before the match, which was played at the Uber Arena in Berlin, the capital of Germany.

The yellow-navy team lost their chance at the final after being defeated 73-57 by Panathinaikos in the first match, and this situation was reflected in the stands. Many fans who came from different European countries to support Fenerbahçe Beko did not follow the remainder of the tournament after the result of the first match. Fenerbahçe fans, who occupied a large portion of the stands during the Panathinaikos match, did not show the same interest in the third-place game.

ONLY ONE CHANGE FROM JASİKEVİCİUS

Fenerbahçe Beko Head Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius made only one change to the roster against Olympiacos.

The Lithuanian coach, who included Tarık Biberovic in the 12-man squad for the Panathinaikos match, gave a chance to Şehmus Hazer instead of Tarık against Olympiacos.

Tarık Biberovic had stayed on the court for 18 minutes and 26 seconds and scored 4 points against Panathinaikos.

Jasikevicius also made only one change to the starting five. The Lithuanian coach started Sertaç Şanlı instead of Motley.

Fenerbahçe Beko's roster for the Olympiacos match is as follows:

Johnathan Motley, Şehmus Hazer, Scottie Wilbekin, Sertaç Şanlı, Georgios Papagiannis, Nigel Hayes-Davis, Dyshawn Pierre, Marko Guduric, Tyler Dorsey, Nick Calathes, Yam Madar, Nathan Sestina.

POLICE TOOK INTENSIVE PRECAUTIONS

Due to the incidents that occurred before the match between Panathinaikos and Fenerbahçe Beko, the German police increased security measures before the third-place match.

The match played on Friday had started 25 minutes late due to the incidents and the detention of fans.

The Berlin police took extra precautions this time to ensure a similar situation did not occur.

While the players of both teams were being announced before the match, the Panathinaikos fans in the arena booed the Olympiacos players.

Following the reaction of the green-white spectators, the small number of Olympiacos fans in the Uber Arena tried to support their team but could not drown out the voices of their arch-rivals.
