Fenerbahçe Beko wins the Turkish derby in the EuroLeague

Fenerbahçe Beko Men's Basketball Team defeated Anadolu Efes 84-76 in the 19th week of the EuroLeague, securing a win after 3 games.

The match, played in front of a full crowd at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall, began with three-point shots.

While Larkin and Nwora for Anadolu Efes and Mays for Fenerbahçe Beko found success from the perimeter, the yellow-navy team took the lead in the early stages following a close-range basket by Sertaç Şanlı, with Anadolu Efes leading 6-5.

As Fenerbahçe Beko responded to Larkin's effective play with a team effort, the navy-white team entered the television timeout leading 14-13.

After the timeout, Fenerbahçe Beko took a 17-14 lead with free throws from Sertaç Şanlı and a basket from Hayes-Davis.

After Hall made one of his free throws and Guduric hit a three-pointer to make the score 36-34, Anadolu Efes head coach Mijatovic called a timeout.

In the remaining time, both teams traded baskets, and a last-second three-pointer by Pierre allowed Fenerbahçe Beko to head to the locker room with a 43-40 lead.

Anadolu Efes started the second half with baskets from Nwora and Poirier: 43-44.

The score reached 52-52 following successful shots by Mays, Hall, and Melli for Fenerbahçe Beko, and Larkin for Anadolu Efes.

While turnovers by both teams on offense were notable, Fenerbahçe Beko established dominance over their opponent in defensive rebounds.

As the home team maintained their effective defensive display, they extended the lead to double digits by scoring 3 more points from free throws through Guduric: 71-60.
