Fenerbahçe emerges victorious in the women's derby!

In the 25th week of the Women's Football Super League, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray faced off at the Dereağzı Lefter Küçükandonyadis Facilities. 

The yellow-reds took a 1-0 lead in the 4th minute with a goal scored by Arzu Karabulut. After an aerial duel in front of the Fenerbahçe penalty area, Arzu intercepted the ball, entered the box, and sent it into the net with a shot from the left diagonal.

In the 9th minute of the match, Yağmur Uraz passed the ball to Ece Türkoğlu. Ece, who dribbled past her opponent inside the penalty arc, sent the ball into the net with a one-touch shot in front of the goal, bringing the score to 1-1. The first half, which saw attacks from both sides, ended in a 1-1 draw.

Fenerbahçe took a 2-1 lead in the 70th minute. In a free kick taken by Coleman from the left diagonal outside the penalty area, the ball went directly into the goal, making the score 2-1. While neither team could capitalize on their chances in the remaining minutes, the yellow-navies left the pitch with a 2-1 victory.

With this result, Fenerbahçe achieved their 9th consecutive home victory, raising their points to 57 and climbing to second place.

GALATASARAY MAINTAINS LEAD

Although Galatasaray lost 2-1 to Fenerbahçe in the derby, they maintained their lead with 59 points.
