Allegations regarding remarks about Aziz Yıldırım in an email sent by Fenerbahçe Deputy Chairman Erol Bilecik to Chairman Ali Koç, which was leaked to the press, had come to the fore. Erol Bilecik issued a written statement following the events.
Erol Bilecik's statement is as follows:
I have felt the need to make this statement due to the allegations that have come to the public agenda regarding myself and our club.
My personal email, which I sent to our esteemed Chairman and our esteemed Secretary General before the Eid al-Adha holiday, was obtained by committing a cybercrime through methods contrary to morality and law, and was served to the public. It is not the case that my aforementioned email was accidentally sent to third parties other than its intended recipients.
The unauthorized acquisition and publication of this private correspondence, which took place between only three people, is a crime with severe sanctions under the Turkish Penal Code. In this context:
• I will exercise all my legal rights in the most determined manner against crimes such as the unlawful acquisition and dissemination of personal data and the violation of the confidentiality of communication.
• I have also filed a criminal complaint through my lawyers against the individuals who publicly confessed to their crime; the file will be brought before the supreme Turkish judiciary.
• Due to my belief in the rule of law, I will not respond to these attacks in the same way; however, I will ensure that the perpetrators of the criminal acts are held accountable before justice.
Our relationship with our esteemed Chairman is built on a sincere friendship spanning many years. Since the first day we started serving together on the board of directors, we have never compromised on this sincerity. However, the insults and slanders directed at me and my family in recent times, fueled by certain circles, have now reached a dimension that will harm the interests of our club. This organized activity, which defines itself as "opposition," has been carrying out a lynching campaign for months by targeting a new executive every day. It is now clearly seen by everyone that the real purpose of these initiatives is not to defend Fenerbahçe values, but to bring down Fenerbahçe Chairman Mr. Ali Koç.
The fact that this service was made on the day the PFDK developments took place clearly shows that those who organized this attack are acting with long-term and strategic malice, and that their main goal is to cause as much damage as possible to the current Fenerbahçe administration.
Valuable Fenerbahçe fans,
I had already notified our esteemed Chairman and our Board of Directors of my intention to leave my post in September before writing this email. During this period, I will continue to serve my club without ever compromising on Fenerbahçe values, and I will officially end my duty in September.
Serving Fenerbahçe has been one of the most precious responsibilities of my life. For seven years, I have never compromised my commitment to this great community. I will remain committed to these values in the rest of my life as well.
I am a Fenerbahçe fan. As it has been for 63 years, supporting Fenerbahçe with all my heart from now on will be the greatest honor and privilege for me.
I would like to express my heartfelt and endless gratitude to all our board members, our athletes, our club employees, and every member of our community with whom we walk towards the same goal, especially our esteemed Chairman Ali Koç, with whom I am honored to have walked this path during this process.
To the Great Fenerbahçe Community,
