Fenerbahçe executive Selahattin Baki was a guest on the YouTube channel named Hodri Meydan.
Making statements regarding the sports agenda, Baki also launched harsh criticisms against Galatasaray.
“WE WANTED TO PUT A STOP TO THE MANIPULATION”
Reacting to the posts made on Galatasaray's social media account following the draw in the derby, Baki stated, "What can we say? After watching what happened in yesterday's match, and after everyone shook hands and left in an extremely gentlemanly environment with low tension, we wanted to put a stop to the manipulation carried out by Galatasaray executives."
“EXECUTIVES CHANGE, THE ATTITUDE DOES NOT”
Touching upon the controversial positions involving Icardi and Djiku, Baki said, "In such critical periods for the country, we, as a community, do not speak much after matches. In this period, where even our Minister of Sports is taking responsibility, it is truly incredible to manipulate a position that is proven to be false by the footage. I really congratulate them on their perception management. Executives change, the attitude does not. These perceptions have become a community tradition."
Baki continued his words as follows;
"THIS IS WHAT SUITS THEM"
"Let's look at the position between Djiku and Icardi. Their statement has nothing to do with the facts. Video analyses clearly show that Djiku's right hand does not make contact with Icardi in any way, but they are trying to create a deadlock by using expressions like 'right hook,' but this is a behavior that suits them."
FETÖ JAB AT GALATASARAY MANAGEMENT
Making a FETÖ jab at Galatasaray, Baki said, "Making something that didn't happen look like it did was something that was inflicted upon Turkey years ago by a group. We see that the cleanup was only done on the posters. The mentality continues in the same way."
“WE APPLIED FOR A FOREIGN REFEREE FOR THE SUPER CUP”
Speaking about the Super Cup final to be played on December 29, Baki said, "We will play an important derby in Saudi Arabia. We have applied for a foreign referee. This derby is a world-class derby. Perhaps for the first time, it has reached a state that could attract the interest of foreigners. We wanted a foreign referee to play that match away from the nonsense in our country. And they gave us Abdulkadir Bitigen. We were uncomfortable with the appointment of Arda Kardeşler, and we are 100 thousand times more uncomfortable with Abdulkadir Bitigen. It is enough that he was the VAR referee in the Rize match alone; no one has forgotten the scandalous goal scored by Diagne. Our patience is truly running out."
