Fenerbahçe Sports Club has issued a public statement regarding reports in the media concerning a FIFA transfer ban.
In the statement released by the club, it was noted that the three-window transfer ban imposed is temporary and is related to the transfer fee for Youssef En Nesyri, who joined the team in the 2024-2025 season.
According to the statement, the relevant club initiated proceedings with FIFA after the transfer installment due on April 30, 2026, was not paid. The Fenerbahçe management paid the overdue installment after taking office.
The statement indicated that in the case opened by the relevant club with FIFA, the payment of the next installment was also requested, and Fenerbahçe had been awaiting the FIFA decision to make the payment.
The club announced that the payment mandated by the FIFA decision will be made on the first business day, Monday, and that the transfer ban will be lifted once the bureaucratic procedures with FIFA are completed.
Fenerbahçe also stated that all financial statements and obligations regarding the previous period will be shared transparently with congress members and the public at the Ordinary General Assembly to be held on September 27, 2026.

We would like to inform our fans and the public regarding the news in the press about the FIFA transfer ban concerning our Club.
The three-window transfer ban imposed on our club is temporary and is related to the transfer fee of Youssef En Nesyri, who joined our team in the 2024-2025 season.
Due to the non-payment of the transfer installment dated April 30, 2026, regarding the player's transfer fee, the relevant club initiated proceedings with FIFA, and our management paid the overdue installment after taking office. In the case opened by the relevant club with FIFA, the payment of the next installment was also requested, and we awaited the FIFA decision for the payment.
Our club will make the payment mandated by the FIFA decision on the first business day (Monday), and the transfer ban will be lifted after the completion of the bureaucratic procedures with FIFA.
Furthermore, all financial statements and obligations regarding the previous period will be shared transparently with our Congress Members and the public at our Ordinary General Assembly to be held tomorrow (September 27, 2026).”
