Fenerbahçe Manager İsmail Kartal shifts gears: The goal is 4 trophies!

Fenerbahçe manager İsmail Kartal, who has had a successful start to the season, met with members of the press.

GOAL OF 4 TROPHIES

Emphasizing his belief that the performance achieved by Fenerbahçe so far stems from the communication he has established with his players, Kartal noted the following:

"We are candidates for all 4 trophies. With our playing power and squad quality, we have the strength to win all 4 trophies. I have always told my players to forget about 10 out of 10 or 15 out of 15, and that we will prepare for the next match in the best way possible. They have all realized this. We have achieved 16 out of 16 right now, but I think it is not enough. As a coach, you are only as good as what you can explain to your players. If you do not convince your footballer, if there is no healthy competition, if there is no justice, this success would not happen anyway. We have worked hard so far and reached this point. We have not achieved anything yet, but hopefully, we will win."

THE SUPER CUP BEING PLAYED IN SAUDI ARABIA

Kartal also made evaluations regarding the fact that the Super Cup match they will play against Galatasaray will be held in Saudi Arabia. Kartal said:

"I do not know if there will be any changes. We only know that it will be played in Saudi Arabia on December 30. We do not know if there will be a change in the coming days. There will be a Galatasaray derby on December 24, and then they will play again on December 30. Of course, this does not pose a problem for me. The decision on this will be between the federation and the club managements."

"NO ONE IS GOING ANYWHERE"

Kartal stated that they continue to scout players for mid-season transfer efforts. Kartal said, "We do not have a prediction about what will happen in January. Currently, our player scouting continues. When planning, as a coach, you must have a game structure in your mind. Transfers must be made accordingly. We have been very meticulous. At the beginning of the season, the transfers we struggled with the most were Fred and Szymanski, but we did not take a step back. Regarding the mid-season transfer, I can say this: no one is going anywhere this year."

MAIN GOAL IS THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Kartal reiterated that despite aiming for all 4 trophies, the main goal is the championship.

Emphasizing that they start matches with high energy and tempo, Kartal said, "We can also win the UEFA Europa Conference League, but the main goal is the championship. Hatayspor is a good team. They currently have 3 players in the national team. Coach Volkan is doing good work. It is no coincidence that the team is undefeated. Our most important match is the Hatayspor match. Volkan Demirel is our brother. He is a successful name. May God clear his path. We will play at our home, and may the deserving side win."

The experienced manager reminded that a large part of his life has been spent at Fenerbahçe and continued as follows:

"Our fans know very well what I have experienced and what I have made them experience. They show their belief and trust in me, and this situation motivates me more than enough.
