Fenerbahçe Opet cruises past VakıfBank!

In the opening match of the 10th week of the Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi, Fenerbahçe Opet defeated VakıfBank 3-1 on the road.

While the first set of the match saw back-and-forth scoring, Thompson for VakıfBank and Stysiak for Fenerbahçe Opet stood out with their spikes. As the final part of the set was entered with a 24-24 tie, Fenerbahçe Opet capitalized on a VakıfBank error to finish the set ahead at 26-24.

In the second set, Fedorovtseva emerged as the standout player for Fenerbahçe Opet. The yellow-navy team did not relinquish their lead to their opponent in this set, winning 25-20 to bring the score to 2-0.

Gabi, who displayed an effective performance for VakıfBank in the third set, was successful in blocking. The yellow-black team won this set 25-21 to bring the score to 2-1.

Although the first part of the fourth set was balanced with mutual points, Fenerbahçe Opet entered the final stretch ahead with consecutive points. The yellow-navy team won this set 25-20 thanks to Fedorovtseva's effective play, winning the match 3-1.

With this result, VakıfBank suffered its first defeat in the league, while Fenerbahçe Opet secured its ninth victory.
