Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç announced on live broadcast: How much does Mourinho cost?

Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç made statements on Halk TV ahead of the presidential election to be held this weekend.

Making statements regarding the election agenda, Koç explained the transfer process of Jose Mourinho. 

Koç stated, "Timing was very important in convincing Mourinho. We continued our work on what options we had if we needed a manager. One of them was Jose Mourinho. Mario Branco first explained Fenerbahçe to Jose Mourinho" he said.

Explaining that they spoke with Mourinho while the season was still ongoing, Koç said, "We spoke with Mourinho before anyone else, but we did not make an offer; we were both chasing the championship and we had a manager. We were not entirely sure that we would make a change, we could have been champions in the last match," he added.

Revealing the cost of Mourinho, Koç said, "Aziz Yıldırım said the same thing about Jose Mourinho that he said about the İrfan Can Kahveci transfer. Mr. Aziz Yıldırım says 'I gave 15 million euros,' but we agreed with Jose Mourinho and his entire team for 12 million euros per year."
