Fenerbahçe reaches 2-year agreement with Danish forward Shavon Shields

The Fenerbahçe Men's Basketball Team has announced the transfer of Shavon Shields as part of its new season roster restructuring. The yellow-navy club announced that it has reached a 2-year agreement with the 2.01-meter tall American-born Danish forward, who most recently played for Olimpia Milano.
Born in 1994 in Overland Park, Kansas, USA, Shields played at the University of Nebraska between 2012 and 2016. After his college career, the experienced basketball player moved to Europe and played for Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt, Aquila Trento, and Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Shields was part of the Baskonia squad that won the Spanish championship in the 2019-20 season. Returning to Italy in the 2020-21 season to transfer to Olimpia Milano, the player won a total of 10 trophies with the Milan team.
During his time at Olimpia Milano, Shields won the Italian League championship in the 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2025-26 seasons; he also achieved Italian Cup victories in 2021, 2022, and 2026, and Italian Super Cup victories in 2020, 2024, and 2025. He was selected for the All-EuroLeague Second Team in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.
Playing with averages of 12.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and a 12.8 efficiency rating in the last EuroLeague season, Shields plays for the Danish National Team at the international level. Fenerbahçe stated that the player will compete for the yellow-navy jersey starting from the 2026-27 season.
