Fenerbahçe's Champions League opponent Villarreal defeated at home

Villarreal, one of Fenerbahçe's opponents in the UEFA Champions League, was defeated 2-1 at home by Real Betis in the 5th week of La Liga. The home team could not maintain its lead in the match where it had gone ahead.
Villarreal took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute with a goal from Gerard Moreno. Moreno capitalized on a ball headed down by Renato Veiga from a cross into the penalty area to put his team in front.
Real Betis' response came in the final part of the first half. For the visiting team, Cucho Hernandez sent a bouncing ball in the penalty area into the net with a low shot in the 39th minute, leveling the score at 1-1.
Four minutes after this goal, Natan stepped up. The Betis player sent the ball he met in the penalty area into the inside of the right post in the 43rd minute, putting his team ahead 2-1. As there were no more goals in the remaining minutes, Real Betis left the Villarreal away match with a victory.
