Fenerbahçe's first opponent in the Champions League for the 2026-2027 season has been determined. In the draw held at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, our yellow-navy representative was paired with the Polish team Gornik Zabrze in the second qualifying round.
Fenerbahçe, which will compete to reach the group stages in Europe, will face its first test on its home turf. The first match to be played in Kadıköy is scheduled to take place on either July 21 or 22. The return leg will be played one week later, on July 28 or 29, in Poland.
If the yellow-navy team overcomes the Gornik Zabrze hurdle, they will advance to the third qualifying round and move one step closer to the group stage. Fenerbahçe aims to make a successful start in the European arena during the busy fixture at the beginning of the season.
