Fenerbahçe starts the league with a defeat

Gençlerbirliği and Fenerbahçe faced each other in the first week of the 2026-2027 season in the Süper Lig.

Fenerbahçe found the goal in the 13th minute of the match played at Eryaman Stadium. Anderson Talisca, who met the ball in the penalty area following a pass from Levent Mercan, sent the ball into the net with his shot, bringing the score to 1-0 in the match.

Gençlerbirliği's response to this goal came in the 37th minute. Franco Tongya scored to bring the score to 1-1 in the contest.

The Yellow-Navies came very close to scoring in the 45th minute. Anderson Talisca's header from a corner kick hit the post.
