Statement from Fenerbahçe regarding pre-1959 championships!

Fenerbahçe has released a statement regarding championships prior to 1959. The statement noted, "As of today, 3 years have passed since our club made an official application to the Turkish Football Federation regarding pre-1959 Turkish championships. It is observed that despite two different administrations having served during the course of our application, the will to conclude this application has not been demonstrated."

Fenerbahçe shared a statement on the club's social media account regarding championships prior to 1959.

In the statement, it was noted that 3 years have passed since the application was made to the Turkish Football Federation for these championships, and the following was stated: "As of today, 3 years have passed since our club made an official application to the Turkish Football Federation regarding pre-1959 Turkish championships."

In the post made by the yellow-navy team, it was said, "It is observed that despite two different administrations having served during the course of our application, the will to conclude this application has not been demonstrated."

The following statements were included in Fenerbahçe's post:

"EXACTLY 3 YEARS HAVE PASSED SINCE OUR APPLICATION TO THE TFF FOR THE REGISTRATION OF OUR PRE-1959 CHAMPIONSHIPS: 'THERE IS SWEAT, THERE ARE CHAMPIONSHIPS, THERE ARE TROPHIES, BUT NO DECISION!'

As of today, 3 years have passed since our club made an official application to the Turkish Football Federation regarding pre-1959 Turkish championships.

It is observed that despite two different administrations having served during the course of our application, the will to conclude this application has not been demonstrated.

In this process, this past July, the Turkish Football Federation announced that 'it has been decided to form a special commission to evaluate the success criteria and official status of the league, which began in 1959 as the Turkish 1st Football League and continues as the Süper Lig, both before and after 1959,' but no concrete steps have been taken to date.

Just as there has never been a situation where an application has waited for 3 years to be reviewed by the TFF Board of Directors, it is indisputable that this situation infringes upon our club's freedom to seek its rights.

We respectfully announce to the public that we expect the necessary steps to be taken as soon as possible and our rights to be delivered regarding our pre-1959 championships, for which we have been seeking our rights with historical facts, official grounds, and evidence from the very first day; that we stand behind our cause and will never give up; and that we will not allow a shadow to be cast on the efforts of Zeki Rıza, Lefter, Cihat, and many others."
