Fenerbahçe has released a statement regarding the health status of Mert Hakan Yandaş.

In a post shared on the yellow-navy club's social media account, it was stated: "One of the captains of our Football A Team, Mert Hakan Yandaş, has undergone arthroscopic debridement surgery at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital as the infection in his left ankle joint could not be brought under control.

We wish our player, who has undergone a successful operation, a speedy recovery and hope he returns to full health as soon as possible."
