Fenerbahçe wins by a wide margin!

In the 23rd week of the THY EuroLeague, Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Italy's Virtus Segafredo Bologna 88-75.

The match began with baskets from both teams, with Fenerbahçe Beko proving effective in the paint through Motley and Papagiannis. The first 5 minutes ended in a 9-9 tie.

Following the television timeout, Papagiannis headed to the bench, and new signing, French player Amine Noua, saw his first minutes in a Fenerbahçe Beko jersey.

After the timeout, Fenerbahçe Beko continued its effective offense with Motley, while Virtus Bologna stood out with its high shooting percentage from the perimeter.

The first quarter ended with the Italian team leading 21-25.

The second period began with a 5-0 run from Bologna: 21-30. Baskets from Noua, Yam Madar, and Sertaç Şanlı narrowed the gap to 2 points for Fenerbahçe Beko: 28-30.

Despite falling behind 33-28 after two empty possessions, Fenerbahçe Beko went on a 7-0 run thanks to the aggressive play of Wilbekin and Guduric: 35-33.

The remainder of the quarter saw back-and-forth scoring, with Wilbekin's 3-pointer extending the lead to 5: 47-42.

The half ended with Fenerbahçe Beko leading 52-47, with Motley being the top scorer with 19 points.

The yellow-navy team started the second half with tough defense, going on a 10-2 run in the first 5 minutes to reach their largest lead of the game: 62-49.

After the television timeout, Fenerbahçe Beko switched to a zone defense, forcing their opponent into perimeter shots while finding baskets in the paint through Sertaç Şanlı and Noua: 66-51.

Virtus Bologna managed to score only 4 points in the first 8 minutes of the quarter. Fenerbahçe Beko maintained the gap for the remainder of the period to enter the final quarter with a 15-point lead: 71-56.

The Italian team started the final quarter quickly. Fenerbahçe Beko struggled to score due to offensive fouls, and Bologna entered the television timeout on a 9-2 run: 73-65.

After the timeout, the yellow-navy team regained control of the rebounds and used a 6-2 run to push the lead back into double digits: 79-67.

Continuing their tough defense in the final stretch, Fenerbahçe Beko reached their largest lead of the game with 1 minute and 30 seconds remaining: 88-71.

Winning the match 88-75, the yellow-navy team secured their 14th victory, while Virtus Bologna suffered their 8th defeat.

Fenerbahçe Beko will face LDLC Asvel away in their next match on January 30.
