Fenerbahçe wins championship for the 6th consecutive time

Fenerbahçe Alagöz Holding, which brought the series to 3-0 by defeating ÇBK Mersin 80-56 away in the third match of the ING Women's Basketball Super League play-off final series, has secured its 18th championship.

The yellow-navy team, which has left its mark on the league in recent years, holds the title of the team with the most championships.

The yellow-navy team first experienced the joy of a championship in the 1998-1999 season. Having also lifted the trophy in the 2001-2002 and 2003-2004 seasons, Fenerbahçe became champions 8 times in a row in the 2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2007-2008, 2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2011-2012, and 2012-2013 seasons.

Fenerbahçe had also added the trophy to its museum in the 2015-2016, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2020-2021, and 2022-2023 seasons.

GALATASARAY HAS 13 CHAMPIONSHIPS

After Fenerbahçe, the team with the most championships in the Women's Basketball Super League is Galatasaray.

The yellow-red team has previously experienced the joy of a championship 13 times in the league.

Galatasaray, which once held a virtual monopoly on championships in women's basketball, set a record by winning the league trophy 9 times in a row between the 1989-1990 and 1997-1998 seasons.

The yellow-red team also added the championship trophy to its museum in the 1987-1988, 1999-2000, 2013-2014, and 2014-2015 seasons.

BEŞİKTAŞ AND ODTÜ HAVE THREE CHAMPIONSHIPS EACH

In the history of the women's league, Beşiktaş and ODTÜ have each achieved three championships.

Additionally, MTA and BOTAŞ have won two championships each, while Istanbul University and Near East University have each won one.
