Fenerbahçe wins the women's derby!

In the derby match of the 17th week of the ING Women's Basketball Super League, Fenerbahçe Alagöz Holding defeated Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring 103-83 away from home.

While the match began with baskets from both sides, both teams displayed an effective defensive performance following the television timeout. As the teams entered the final 3 minutes of the first quarter tied at 13-13, Fenerbahçe Alagöz Holding went on a 9-0 run with consecutive points from McBride, Sevgi Uzun, Anderson, and Meesseman to bring the score to 22-13. After Fenerbahçe Alagöz Holding responded to a 3-pointer from Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring's Meltem Yıldızhan with a 2-point shot from McBride, the period ended with the yellow-navy team leading 24-16.
