Fenerbahçe has made a new move to add Kerem Aktürkoğlu to its squad. President Ali Koç stated that they have submitted a new offer in the negotiations with Benfica and are awaiting a response.

Ali Koç said, "We made significant offers for Kerem Aktürkoğlu. However, these offers were subject to certain conditions. We gave a commitment not to play him against Benfica and proposed writing this into the contract. However, our offers were not valid during this process, and we have submitted a new offer."

Although Fenerbahçe had previously reached an agreement for 22.5 million euros plus 2.5 million euros in bonuses, it withdrew this offer. Following this, Kerem's flight to Portugal was canceled, and Benfica reacted sharply to this step by Fenerbahçe, pausing the negotiations. Fenerbahçe submitted a figure of around 18 million euros as a new offer, but Benfica did not take this offer into consideration.

STATEMENT ON KEREM FROM HEAD COACH LAGE

Benfica Head Coach Bruno Lage emphasized the importance of Kerem Aktürkoğlu for the team at the press conference he held. Lage stated, "Kerem is happy at Benfica and has had a good start to the season. He received an offer, but he is currently focused here. I trust him for tomorrow's match."

Bruno Lage noted that Kerem is a critical player for the team, saying, "His total goals and assists are 25. He chose a new jersey number, and I feel he is focused on the team."
