Fenerbahçe Board Member in Charge of Legal Affairs Fethi Pekin explained the details regarding the 6th hearing of the lawsuit filed against the TFF concerning the July 3 process.

The statement made by Fenerbahçe Club included the following: "The sixth hearing of the Compensation Lawsuit filed by our club against the Turkish Football Federation due to the July 3 Conspiracy, which was supposed to be held on October 14 but was postponed to today due to the reassignment of the presiding judge, took place today. Our Board Member in Charge of Legal Affairs, Fethi Pekin, made statements to Fenerbahçe Television regarding the 6th hearing held today.

Noting that the decision reached today is extremely important and gratifying for Fenerbahçe fans, Fethi Pekin said, "First of all, let me make a reminder for all our viewers and our community: As you know, we filed this lawsuit towards the end of August 2021. Approximately 2.5 years have passed. Unfortunately, due to the delaying tactics of the opposing counsel and, unfortunately, the change of our judge twice—once due to retirement and once due to reassignment—we attended today's hearing with a third judge. And even though our new judge had just received the file, we left the hearing with a decision that is gratifying for all of us today. As I have stated before, the opposing side first had a procedural objection, which was: 'This matter has been resolved before the Arbitration Board. This decision cannot be taken to the judiciary. Therefore, you cannot sue this matter in Private Law Courts,' was their defense and objection. The judge two sessions ago had rejected this. However, they had objected again by requesting a reversal of the interim decision. Today, our new judge made a decision on this matter and rejected these requests. Therefore, there is no longer any procedural debate. Secondly, and more importantly, it was decided to appoint a 3-person expert committee and for the file to be examined by the experts. We will learn later which specific issues they will request an examination on. But the subject is already known; they will request it regarding the calculation of our damages. Although there has been a 2.5-year delay, this decision regarding the lawsuit today is extremely important and extremely gratifying for Fenerbahçe fans. I wish it to be beneficial. The next hearing date has been set for April 16, 2024. We will be present there as well. I am currently in Ankara. I wish it to be beneficial. I think that a decision will most likely be reached in this court of first instance towards the end of 2024," he said."
