Transfer statement from Feyyaz Uçar: Work is ongoing

Beşiktaş Club Board Member in Charge of Football Feyyaz Uçar stated that transfer efforts are ongoing and that they want to bring in players with leadership qualities.
Beşiktaş began preparations today at the Ümraniye Nevzat Demir Facilities for their match against Fatih Karagümrük in the 20th week of the Süper Lig. Beşiktaş Club Board Member in Charge of Football Feyyaz Uçar also made statements to members of the press during the training session.

Stating that they are experiencing a good day for the black-and-white club, Uçar said, “It is our new coach Fernando Santos' first training session. Before the training, we held an information meeting that lasted nearly 1.5 to 2 hours. We only provided information. From now on, it is his responsibility,” he expressed.

Feyyaz Uçar also touched upon the fact that transfer efforts are continuing, saying, “They will continue, and they have to. Of course, we have to make transfers for a few more positions. There is no problem with that. But of course, I have to say here that transfer efforts are just continuing. When we give names, we put the clubs, the players, and ourselves in a difficult situation. But the work is ongoing,” he said.

Pointing out that Head Coach Fernando Santos will make the final decision regarding the players excluded from the squad, the black-and-white executive included the sentences, “We have informed our coach about every player. From now on, the discretion is entirely his. He will definitely talk to the players. He will make his decision according to the situation. We respect every decision the coach will make.”

Feyyaz Uçar also added that they are open to transfer offers regarding the players excluded from the squad.

Stating that U19 Technical Director Serdar Topraktepe, who was in charge of the team for the Hatayspor, Kasımpaşa, and Çaykur Rizespor matches, will be part of Santos' team in the coming period, Uçar continued as follows:
“Thank goodness Fernando Santos made a gesture to us. We asked if Serdar coach could be on the team. He accepted it with pleasure. Serdar Topraktepe will continue his duty as one of the assistant coaches in the A-team squad from now on. At the same time, our performance coach Miguel will also continue.”
