FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated, "All revenue generated from the tournament will be distributed to the participating clubs through club solidarity, and FIFA will not retain a single cent. FIFA's reserves, which are set aside for global football development, will remain untouched."

A total of 32 clubs will participate in FIFA's new organization.

Teams will be divided into 8 groups of 4 and will face each other in single matches. Those who finish in the top 2 of their groups will face each other in subsequent rounds based on a single-elimination format.

According to the decision taken, FIFA announced that the inaugural FIFA Women's Club World Cup, which was scheduled for 2026, has been postponed by another 2 years and will now be held in January-February 2028.

Infantino stated that the FIFA Women's Club World Cup will be a decisive stage in the growth of women's club football and will provide the platform they deserve to make the women's club game a global focal point.
