FIFA has updated its world rankings for national teams following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup. Spain, which finished the tournament as champions, reached 1995.88 points to become the new leader.
Spain, which defeated Lionel Messi's Argentina 1-0 in the final with a goal in extra time, rose from the third spot they held in June 2026 to the top. Argentina, playing in their second consecutive World Cup final, placed second with 1970.37 points.
The Turkish National Football Team settled into 27th place in the rankings after being eliminated in the group stage of the tournament. SURPRISE FROM MEXICO IN THE TOP 10
