Filenin Efeleri victorious against Italy
The national men's volleyball team defeated the host team in straight sets in a friendly match played in the Italian city of Bergamo.

Continuing their preparations ahead of the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL), the A National Men's Volleyball Team finished their friendly match against Italy, one of Europe's prominent teams, with a 3-0 victory. In the challenging match in Bergamo, the national team managed to gain the upper hand over their opponent by winning the sets with scores of 26-24, 25-23, and 25-21.
Turkey won two of the friendly matches it participated in while in Italy and suffered one defeat. Following this series, the crescent-and-star team boosted their morale for the first stage of the VNL, which will take place in Canada.
In the first leg of the VNL, to be played between June 10-14, the national team will face the United States, France, Italy, and Canada.
