The TFF has issued a statement regarding the incidents that occurred during the match between Göztepe and Fenerbahçe, which ended in a 2-2 draw in the second week of the Süper Lig.
The statement included the following remarks:
'WE DO NOT FIND IT APPROPRIATE, NOR DO WE ACCEPT IT'
"During the Göztepe A.Ş. - Fenerbahçe A.Ş. match played in the second week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, certain incidents occurred that we do not wish to see on football pitches.
Due to certain events that took place during the entry of the visiting team's fans into the stands, we do not find it appropriate, nor do we accept, that the visiting club's president entered the pitch and intervened in a manner contrary to the regulations.
Furthermore, we find the physical assault individually directed at the visiting club's president to be ugly, and we do not accept it in any way. We extend our get-well wishes to the President of Fenerbahçe Sports Club.
It is evident that the events that took place do not contribute to the climate of brotherhood we wish to create in football. We would like to emphasize that all stakeholders of football are partners, and that these stakeholders must act together with common sense to elevate the brand value of our football to better levels.
The process will be evaluated in detail by the relevant boards of our federation, and the necessary decisions will be taken promptly."
