Reacting harshly to this situation, the Portuguese manager had made striking statements regarding Saint-Maximin's training program. Mourinho had stated, "There hasn't been a period in the last three months where Maximin trained for four consecutive days. The people he works with leaked some data illegally. On March 10, before the Rangers match, we did tactical training and I was the person who ran the most. That day, Maximin did individual training, and that is why his data looks manipulative. Unfortunately, he does not train regularly and is not fit."
