Former Fenerbahçe player Nemanja Bjelica retires from basketball!

Nemanja Bjelica has announced his retirement from basketball at the age of 35. Bjelica posted a video on his Instagram account, declaring that he has put an end to his 20-year basketball career and is retiring.

The Serbian star Nemanja Bjelica, who previously played for Fenerbahçe in our country between 2013 and 2015, was named the EuroLeague regular season MVP during that period and won championships in the Basketball Super League and the Presidential Cup with the yellow-navy team.

NBA CAREER

Following his Fenerbahçe career, Bjelica headed to the NBA, where he played for 7 seasons, first for the Minnesota Timberwolves, then the Sacramento Kings, followed by the Miami Heat, and finally the Golden State Warriors. Bjelica experienced the joy of winning a championship with the Warriors, the final stop of his NBA career.

Afterward, Bjelica returned to Fenerbahçe Beko last season but was only able to play in 7 games due to injuries. Bjelica, who left Fenerbahçe at the beginning of the season, transferred to Crvena zvezda but was unable to take the court due to injuries.

Nemanja Bjelica won silver medals with the Serbian National Team at EuroBasket in 2009 and the FIBA World Cup in 2014.
