Former Fenerbahçe player Viorel Moldovan becomes president of Rapid Bucharest
Former Romanian footballer Viorel Moldovan, who also played for Fenerbahçe for a period, has become the new president of the Romanian club Rapid Bucharest.

It has been announced that former Romanian national footballer Viorel Moldovan is the new president of the Rapid Bucharest club. Stating that he is honored and proud to be the president of a club like Rapid Bucharest, Moldovan said that they will build a competitive team to reach their goals and that they want to feel the support of their fans alongside them.
Viorel Moldovan, who also wore the Rapid Bucharest jersey during his playing career, played for clubs such as Nantes, Servette, and Coventry City. The 51-year-old Moldovan, who also played for Fenerbahçe in Turkey between 1998 and 2000, contributed 34 goals and 10 assists in 59 matches for the yellow-navy club.
In his managerial career, Moldovan coached Auxerre, Chindia, and Petrolul, but has not managed a team since 2021.
