France advances from group as undefeated leader

In the final week match of Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, France and Norway faced off at Boston Stadium.

France won the match, officiated by English referee Michael Oliver, 4-1. France's goals were scored by Dembele, who completed a hat-trick in the 7th, 20th, and 32nd minutes, and by Doue in the 90+4th minute. Norway's only goal was recorded by Thelo Aasgaard in the 21st minute.

With this result, Didier Deschamps' students finished the group as undefeated leaders with 9 points, winning 3 out of 3 matches.

Norway placed second with 6 points.

In the group's other match, Senegal defeated Iraq 5-0 to earn their first points and secured 3rd place.
