From Nihat Özbağı to Aziz Yıldırım: The stadium is on me, the championship is on you

Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım and Nihat Özbağı, who is on his management list, discussed the details of the project to increase the capacity of the yellow-navy team's stadium to 64,000 people.

Explaining the project, Özbağı stated that it would proceed in stages, saying, "First, raising the towers, reinforcement, and building additional stands; all of this will be done in a way that will not place an excessive burden on Fenerbahçe. This capacity increase will bring an additional 30 to 40 million dollars in revenue to the club."

Yıldırım said, "We will have finished this stadium by May of next year and we will lift the trophy in front of 64,000 people," while Özbağı replied, "Mr. President, I promise. I will finish the stadium before the championship. The stadium is on me, the championship is on you." Aziz Yıldırım, for his part, said that the championship is easy and that the stadium should be built by May.
