Galatasaray advances to the Round of 16 despite 3-2 loss to Juventus: Yellow-Reds score in extra time

In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 play-off round, Galatasaray advanced to the next stage despite losing 3-2 to Juventus in a match that went to extra time.

Our yellow-red representative had won the first match 5-2.

The yellow-red team will face either Liverpool or Tottenham from England in the Round of 16.

Juventus's Kelly was shown a red card in the 48th minute. The referee had initially sent him off with a second yellow card. However, after a VAR review, a direct red card was issued.

Arda Ünyay, Renato Nhaga, and Can Armando Güner were not included in the Galatasaray squad as they were not on the list submitted to UEFA.

In the 49th minute, Lloyd Kelly was shown a red card following a second yellow after his challenge on Barış Alper Yılmaz. After reviewing the position on VAR, referee Pinheiro canceled the yellow card and showed Kelly a direct red card.

In the 70th minute, Gatti found the net with a strike at the back post following a cross from Kalulu from the right side of the penalty area. 2-0

In the 79th minute, Kenan Yıldız's shot from the back post, following a pass from Jeremie Boga from the left outside the penalty area, hit the post.

In the 82nd minute, from a free kick taken by Juventus from the left, Koopmeiners headed the ball to the back post where McKennie headed it into the net. 3-0

In the 96th minute, Edon Zhegrova sent the ball wide from a clear position following a pass from McKennie, who had received the ball in front of the penalty area.

In the 105+1st minute, Osimhen's shot from the left side of the penalty area, following a pass from Barış Alper Yılmaz, found the net. 3-1

In the 111th minute, goalkeeper Uğurcan denied Zhegrova, who had entered the penalty area from the right wing and shot from a tight angle.

In the 119th minute, Barış Alper Yılmaz found the net after being left one-on-one with goalkeeper Perin following a through ball from Singo. 3-2
