Galatasaray advances to the Ziraat Turkish Cup final

Konyaspor and Galatasaray faced off in the Ziraat Turkish Cup semi-final.
Galatasaray found the opening goal in the 26th minute of the match played at Medaş Konya Metropolitan Stadium. Victor Osimhen met a cross from the right wing by Dries Mertens and headed the ball into the net from inside the penalty area: 1-0.
The yellow-reds doubled their lead in the 42nd minute. Goalkeeper Deniz Ertaş saved a header from Victor Osimhen, but Lucas Torreira followed up on the rebound and scored from inside the box to make it 2-0.
The first half of the match ended with Galatasaray leading 2-0.
The second half of the match began with a flurry of goals. In the 47th minute, Roland Sallai received a pass from Osimhen and fired a shot that deflected off Konyaspor defender Adil Demirbağ into the net, extending Galatasaray's lead to three.
Six minutes after this goal, Konyaspor narrowed the gap to two. In an attack developing from the left wing, Pedrinho met a low cross from Yusuf Erdoğan inside the penalty area and scored to make the score 3-1.
Konyaspor's joy was short-lived, lasting only 2 minutes. Sallai, who received a pass from Mertens, dribbled past two opponents to create space and then scored to make it 4-1.
In the 90+1st minute of the match, Yusuf Demir scored for Galatasaray to make it 5-1, sealing the final score of the game.
By defeating Konyaspor 5-1 away from home, Galatasaray became the first team to reach the cup final.
In the final, Galatasaray will face the winner of the Trabzonspor - Göztepe matchup.
