Following their victory over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League, which secured their place in the Round of 16, Galatasaray is now awaiting their matchup against either Liverpool or Tottenham in March. Due to this significant European fixture, the yellow-reds' 27th-week away match against Göztepe has been rescheduled to a later date.
Meanwhile, it has been decided that the away match between Samsunspor, who are continuing their journey in the UEFA Conference League, and Çaykur Rizespor, also scheduled for the same week, will be played at a later time. This step was taken in consideration of both teams' intense European schedules and the upcoming national team matches.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) had previously shared the following information regarding the regulation:
"Prior to our National Team's play-off matches in March, which are of critical importance for participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the dates for the 27th week matches of the Trendyol Süper Lig Mehmet Ali Yılmaz Season, originally scheduled for March 20, 21, and 22, have been changed to March 17, 18, and 19. In the event that our teams competing in European cups advance to the Round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League, which will be played on March 17, 18, and 19, the league matches these teams are scheduled to play in the 27th week will be postponed to a later date. The dates for the postponed matches will be announced at a later time."
