FIFA HAD IMPOSED A PENALTY
Tete had terminated his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk by using the unilateral contract termination right granted by FIFA to foreign footballers in Russia and Ukraine until June 30.
Shakhtar had filed a lawsuit for Tete, who signed with Galatasaray without a transfer fee.
FIFA had ruled that Galatasaray and Tete must pay a penalty of 2.5 million Euros due to "unfair contract termination".
PANATHINAIKOS ALSO ANNOUNCED
On the other hand, the Greek team Panathinaikos also officially announced that they have added Tete to their squad.
