According to a report by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu from Sports Digitale; the Galatasaray Board of Directors has decided to hold an 'Emergency' meeting today at 18:00. While Ali Yüce has submitted his resignation, it is alleged that three other individuals on the board are also considering resigning.
KARAKULLUKÇU'S SIGNATURE CLAIM
Sports commentator Uğur Karakullukçu had previously claimed that the statement issued by the club regarding allegations brought up by journalist Fatih Altaylı—that tickets were given to fan groups and that an investigation had been launched as a result—was not approved by the board of directors, and he stated that many board members were uncomfortable with the situation.
The statement issued by Galatasaray included the following expressions:
"From the moment we were elected with the favor of the Galatasaray Sports Club members, we had only one goal: to fulfill this duty entrusted to us in the best possible way...
At the point we have reached today, we see that the criticisms directed at our board of directors and the colleagues we work with have exceeded the limit and turned into unfair accusations and immoral slanders.
We invite the authors of these speculations, which began with the lie that there was an investigation and continued with the slander that some of our board members were summoned to testify regarding this accusation, to prove their claims as soon as possible; if they cannot prove them, we declare that we will wage the same struggle against them as we do against the enemies of Galatasaray.
We will share all the actions we have taken and will take on this matter with the public tomorrow.
