A surprise name has emerged for Galatasaray as they continue their squad planning ahead of the new season.
The yellow-reds have taken action for Fenerbahçe's former Colombian striker Jhon Duran, also taking the foreign player rule into consideration.
According to a report by HT Spor, Galatasaray has initiated efforts to sign Jhon Duran on a one-year loan. It was stated that initial contacts have been established between the parties and that the two sides are close to an agreement. If the transfer goes through, it is reported that the yellow-red club will pay the 22-year-old player 5 million Euros annually.
The report also stated that the Galatasaray management wants to include a unilateral termination clause in the potential loan agreement. In this way, the yellow-reds aim to retain the right to terminate the contract based on the player's performance or other conditions.
John Duran, who came to Fenerbahçe on loan from Al Nassr during last season's transfer window, had a cost of 20 million Euros. The Colombian, who played for the yellow-navies until the mid-season transfer window, scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 21 matches. Due to his undisciplined behavior, John Duran's contract was terminated, and he transferred to Zenit.
