Galatasaray Club member Tunç Alankuş has passed away

Tunç Alankuş, who was considered a doyen of Turkish chess and was a member of Galatasaray, has passed away.

In a statement released on the club's website,

"We have learned with sadness the news that our club member Tunç Alankuş, one of the doyens of Turkish chess, has passed away. The funeral of the deceased will be laid to rest at Karacaahmet Cemetery following the noon prayer to be held at Erenköy Galip Paşa Mosque on Tuesday, March 26. We wish God's mercy upon the deceased and extend our condolences to his family, loved ones, and our community." were the statements included.
