Galatasaray defeated by Union SG at home: Reduced to 10 men

Galatasaray came very close to scoring in the 27th minute with Gabriel Sara. The Brazilian footballer's shot from outside the penalty area hit the post and bounced back into play.

The Belgian side took the lead in the 57th minute. Following a low pass from Adem Zorgane from the right edge of the penalty area, Promise David struck the ball first-time from the six-yard box to find the back of the net: 0-1.

Young center-back Arda Ünyay, who had entered the game in the 53rd minute replacing Jakobs, was sent off after receiving a second yellow card in the 89th minute, leaving his team with 10 men.
Although Galatasaray pushed forward for a goal in the remainder of the match, the score did not change, and the game ended with a 1-0 victory for Union SG.

Galatasaray's 3-match winning streak in the Champions League came to an end, leaving them on 9 points. Union SG, meanwhile, ended their 3-match losing streak and increased their points tally to 6.
