In the 30th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, the yellow-red team defeated Gençlerbirliği 2-1 away from home, gaining an advantage ahead of the Fenerbahçe derby. However, the cancellation of a Galatasaray goal following a VAR review during the match caused significant unrest within the community.

After the referee disallowed Galatasaray goals in three consecutive matches due to VAR intervention, the club management took the issue to the federation. According to the report by Ali Naci Küçük, Galatasaray General Secretary Eray Yazgan held talks with Turkish Football Federation officials at their facilities in Riva following the match. In a statement after the process, Yazgan said, “We discussed the disallowed goal and issued our warnings.”

STERN REACTION FROM MANAGEMENT: “WE SUSPECT MALICIOUS INTENT”

Galatasaray Second President Metin Öztürk expressed his reaction to the consecutive decisions with the following words: "No matter what they do, they will not be able to stop us. Our goal was disallowed in an irrelevant manner in three matches. Why do these things always happen to Galatasaray? We suspect malicious intent behind these. Despite everything, we are 4 points ahead and we will be champions this season as well. We will win the derby, and we will collect 12 points in the remaining four matches," he said.
