Galatasaray hands Antalyaspor a heavy defeat

In the opening match of the 28th week of the Super Lig, Galatasaray hosted Antalyaspor.

The home team, which started the match at Rams Park with pressure, found the goal in the 30th minute.

Victor Osimhen sent the ball into the net while completely unmarked, following a pass from Barış Alper Yılmaz that Alvaro Morata redirected to the back post.

The yellow-reds were awarded a penalty in the 43rd minute of the match. Following a VAR check, it was determined that Antalyaspor defender Ramzi Safuri had handled the ball, and the referee pointed to the penalty spot.

Alvaro Morata stepped up to take the penalty and sent the ball and the goalkeeper to opposite corners, extending the lead to 2.

Advancing quickly with the ball down the right wing, Barış Alper Yılmaz entered the penalty area after getting past his opponent. Victor Osimhen scored in the 45+3rd minute from a 'tap-in' pass by Barış Alper, bringing the score to 3-0.

The first half of the match concluded with Galatasaray leading 3-0.

HAT-TRICK FROM VICTOR OSIMHEN

Continuing their effective play from the first half into the second, 'Cimbom' found another goal in the 52nd minute through Victor Osimhen, assisted by Yunus Akgün, making it 4-0.

The Nigerian striker, who scored his third goal of the match, recorded his first hat-trick in the yellow-red jersey.

There were no further goals in the remainder of the match, and Galatasaray left the pitch with a 4-0 victory, adding 3 points to their tally.

LEAD EXTENDED TO 10 POINTS WITH GAMES IN HAND

Galatasaray, securing their second consecutive win to reach 71 points, extended their lead over their closest rival, Fenerbahçe, to 10 points with two games in hand. Antalyaspor remains at 33 points and sits in 10th place.

After the international break, Galatasaray will face Beşiktaş away in the 29th week. Antalyaspor will host Alanyaspor in the Mediterranean derby.
