Galatasaray issues statement saying, 'This is our answer to the "gentlemen"'

The statement issued by Galatasaray club read as follows:

"All the perceptions and behaviors exhibited by our opponent following last night's match have left us with no choice but to make this statement.

Because what is being attempted by constantly raising the stakes and further tensioning the environment is, unfortunately, an effort to make people forget their defeat last night. The entire sports community is witness to the fact that those who start every speech by saying 'we are gentlemen' while insulting our club in every environment they are in, and those who applaud this, are only gentlemen in name.

Those who prepared this environment, which reached the point of attacking a member of the press in our stadium; they are the ones who applaud those applauses and make those insults. We leave it to the discretion of the sports community what our 'decent' opponent, who should have put an end to this violence without any ifs or buts, has done to cover up the incident and defend this aggressor.

We remember these arrogant words and these hypocrisies from past seasons. We are no longer surprised that our opponent uses the same language as their sponsor brothers in their statements. Those who only want justice for themselves have found a new partner in the playground. It should be known that this ugly partnership they have established will break down at some point, and the sponsor brothers will one day understand that it is not money, but the truth that wins. We will take them down one by one from the swing they are riding together. We hope that on that day, they will realize the truth and feel at least a little ashamed of their adolescent statements where they use phrases like 'we will teach Galatasaray a lesson'.

The numbers are there, the statistics are clear. It is enough to look at these figures to see who is superior in the statistics in the Super Lig and, despite this, who is being 'butchered' on the pitch. Today, Galatasaray is appreciated by the entire sports community, both biased and neutral, for its squad quality and the game it plays. We invite them to face this reality instead of attacking here and there to look charming to their fans.

Despite all these provocations, our request to our fans is to maintain their calm and not fall for this ugly game. Despite these arrogant statements, implicit ugly partnerships, and baseless accusations, our club will continue to stay on the pitch and win there, as it always has.
