Mehmet Ağar surprise at Galatasaray: Claims he is preparing for elections

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek has announced that he will be a candidate again in the presidential election to be held in May 2026.

Özbek, who wants to return to the presidential seat, aims to leave his rivals Metin Öztürk and İbrahim Hatipoğlu out of the election.

According to a report by Fotospor, President Özbek plans to build a strong administration by including Erden Timur and Mehmet Ağar in his new management list.

Among the names expected to be in President Özbek's administration is Ali Fatinoğlu, one of the important figures in the community. It is also rumored that Can Topsakal and Eşref Alaçayır, who are known to be opponents of Fatih Terim, could also be in Özbek's new administration.

In response to claims that Metin Öztürk prepared his own lists during Özbek's previous presidential terms, it is stated that in this election, President Özbek will shape his list entirely according to his own decisions.

Özbek is also putting into effect plans to form his own list by limiting the influence of GSYİAD on the administration.
