Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek gives a clear answer to the candidacy question

Galatasaray Sports Club President Dursun Özbek made important statements regarding both the club's goals and the upcoming elections at a sponsorship launch.

President Özbek touched upon the Juventus victory that has left its mark on Galatasaray's history and the club's vision. Özbek stated, “9 years and 8 days ago... Galatasaray Sports Club is a sports club written in golden letters in the history of Turkish sports... Of course, every endeavor begins with dreams. It is important to reach and pursue dreams. There is also a time factor here. Time is also necessary to realize dreams. Not just in terms of sports; I had dreams 9 years and 8 days ago for the financial structure and infrastructure.

Today, I am proud to see those dreams coming true one by one. We are reaching the level we dreamed of step by step. We have dreams for the next 9 years and 8 days as well. We have dreams for Turkish sports. We will continue for our dreams and mission from 121 years ago. In the next 9 years and 8 days, Galatasaray will be in a completely different place. I call out to all Galatasaray fans; let us be together, let us be united, and let us carry Galatasaray to even greater heights.”

Özbek emphasized that sports are not just about success on the field, but also about the importance of stability in the financial structure and infrastructure. He stressed that Galatasaray is moving forward with firm steps toward major goals with its long-term plans.

Stating that Galatasaray could get undesirable results at the beginning of the season, Dursun Özbek referred to the Eintracht Frankfurt match and spoke as follows:

“You can get results you don't want at the beginning of the season (Eintracht Frankfurt). However, if your goal is clear, you don't give up because of one match. Today, the team is continuing successfully. Every match is very important. We will continue in the league, the cup, and Europe with the same seriousness. Nothing ends with one match.

We are on a tough path; we must maintain the same attitude we have had so far without losing concentration. Nothing is over. We will continue to walk toward our goal with seriousness. These are my messages to my technical staff, the players, and my community.”
