Galatasaray puts 3 past Fatih Karagümrük

In the opening match of the second week of the Süper Lig, Galatasaray hosted Fatih Karagümrük at home.

Galatasaray found the opening goal in the 10th minute of the match played at Rams Park. After a mistake by Doh, Barış Alper Yılmaz intercepted the ball, quickly entered the penalty area, and scored to make it 1-0.

The visiting team was reduced to 10 men in the 23rd minute. Following a VAR review for his challenge on Davinson Sanchez, Tresor Doh was shown a red card, leaving his team with 10 players.

The first half of the match ended with a 1-0 lead for the Yellow-Reds.

Galatasaray made it 2-0 in the 74th minute. Fatih Kurucuk, attempting to clear a cross from the right wing by Barış Alper Yılmaz, accidentally sent the ball into his own net, bringing the score to 2-0.

A goal scored by Galatasaray's Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen in the 78th minute was disallowed due to offside.

ICARDI RETURNS TO THE PITCH WITH A GOAL

'Cimbom' found the third goal in the 87th minute. After applying pressure in the opponent's penalty area, Lucas Torreira immediately passed the ball to Mauro Icardi. With Torreira's perfect setup, Icardi sent the ball into the net to seal the final score: 3-0.

With two wins in two matches, Galatasaray reached 6 points and moved to the top of the league table provisionally, while Karagümrük, with one game in hand, has yet to earn a point.
